And Now The Good Stuff – Peach Blueberry Crumble By Ina Garten

I will confess that I have a sweet tooth and enjoy wonderful homemade desserts.  At one time, my favorite dessert was cake and I believe it is because my Mother baked cakes so much.  Now however, I think my taste has changed and I absolutely love pies.  I love the way you can change the ingredients and adapt the pie to any occasion.  Now I have to admit I haven’t tried to make a pie crust in a long time.  I saw Ina do it on TV the other day and I think I will give it a try.  However, I have learned to adapt to not making a crust.  When I saw the recipe for peach blueberry crumble in Ina’s cookbook, “Barefoot Contessa At Home”, I loved the idea of using ramekins and having individual desserts for each guest.

The combination of the blueberries with the peaches and the way the filling oozes out of the crumble topping makes this dessert extra special.  It has a tart taste but at the same time is sweet, gooey and has a wonderful crisp topping.  Oh me, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you must know that Ice Cream is probably my favorite food.  I know ice cream is a great addition to a fruit pie; however, I will not serve this dessert with ice cream.  It is absolutely delicious all by itself.  If you need a special dessert for the weekend, I would highly recommend this one.  Yum! Yum! Yum!

Thanks for stopping by.
