On This Choosy Tuesday – I Am Choosing DuPont State Forest

Last weekend we were able to visit our daughter and grandchildren in Transylvania County, NC.  It was a cold Saturday with the high temperature in the 30’s but we walked through a trail in DuPont State Forest on Saturday afternoon and visited three waterfalls.  Today, I want to share the beauty of the forest even in the middle of winter. Here is a link to NC waterfalls with more information about DuPont Forest  http://www.ncwaterfalls.com/dupont1.htm

This may be our last visit to the area for a while as our family will be moving to another state soon.  Our grandson loves to have his picture made and my granddaughter just automatically says “cheese” when you aim a camera at her.  I very seldom share pictures of them on my blog but here is a picture of them having fun on the trail.

IMG_1711Yes, Grandma will miss them when they move to another state but at one time I thought they would be moving out of the country for at least three years so I am a happy Grandma.  Yes, we were tired at the end of the day but it was a fun day spent with family. Hope you enjoy the pictures and if hiking is something you enjoy, I would recommend Transylvania County, NC.  It is truly the land of waterfalls.

    • It is such a beautiful place and as I work at a daycare everyday, it reminds me of some of the fairy tale stories we share with the kids. Thanks for the compliment about my pictures. I have started enjoying taking pictures and just see how they turn out instead of doing the very technical side of photography. Aim and shoot!!
