  1. I have been reading and enjoying your blog for several months. I especially love reading the recipes you post from old cookbooks. I live in Caldwell County, grew up in Hickory, and, because my mother was from Maiden and my uncle lived in Newton, I know your part of Catawba County fairly well. It is truly a small “southern” world!

    I look forward to reading your posts in 2014.
