On This Choosy Tuesday – Just Sharing a Little of This and That

I love to share the South with you on my blog.  Most of the time, that will include a recipe of some sort.  However, on Tuesdays, I like to share some other things that don’t involve food preparation.

Today, I am sharing pictures of the results of the painting of the living area of our house.  It is a creamy color and shows up as yellow on the pictures; however, I like to say it is the color of butter. Here are a few pictures.

My husband is a woodturner and I plan to display some of his results in a grouping on the oak mantel.  I do love to decorate my house and look forward to replacing pictures and wall hangings in different settings.

And now speaking of my husband, I want to show you the spice rack he created for me.  I have never found a way to arrange my spices that works well.  When we returned from vacation, my husband and I worked together to make a spice rack that would work perfectly in our cabinet.  Here is the results and I am soooooooooooooo happy to have this problem solved.

My husband is not a carpenter and I am so appreciative of his efforts to help me with this situation.  Honestly, I think he wanted to help me because he had seen my frustration right in the middle of preparing meals in trying to find the right spices.

I will have a blog post tomorrow featuring Susie’s cookbook from the Monday post.  Hope you liked the pictures.

  1. I love the new color of your walls. It makes the room look warm and inviting. Tell you husband I think he did a terrific job of fixing your spice cabinet. :)
