Most of the time, I will make a cake from scratch. I have been cooking for a long time and it just seems as easy for me to bake a cake from scratch as any other way. However, when I first starting cooking, I only used cake mix. I think both methods can be used successfully in any kitchen. The recipe I am sharing with you today is a layered dessert that has to be kept refrigerated. It is a cool dessert for a hot day and is easy to prepare. It has layers of flavor and now that Pillsbury has started making sugar free cake mix, that gives me an option to incorporate some of my old recipes in the mix. This is one of my husband’s favorite desserts. The recipe calls for cooked vanilla pudding and I could not find that so I used the instant vanilla pudding and I am not sure it made any major difference in the overall taste of the cake.
